Participating in a jam requires a blend of respect, communication, and musical understanding. Here are some key etiquette guidelines to keep in mind:

Be aware of dynamics and adjust your playing accordingly.

Know the Songs. Familiarize yourself with commonly played songs. Be open to learning from others.
